The only thing to remember is that for PAL regions, the digital copy of the game available on the PSN store is actually an NTSC version, thus this trick won't work in that situation. If you’re playing on PS3, PSP or PSVita, option 4 can absolutely work because the disc will be able to load your save via the console’s Virtual Memory Card.

If you left the Speedway and turned off the console without earning both Eggs, buy or rent a Greatest Hits (NTSC), Platinum (PAL) or The Best (NTSC|J) edition of the game appropriate to your region, then load your save and earn the Race Egg again, where it will register correctly.

If you must quit the game, do so inside the Speedway level before leaving it, then earn the Race Egg when you come back.

If you left the Speedway but didn't turn off the console, you can still return to the Speedway and earn the Race Egg, where it will register correctly.

If you find the race too hard, use the Adjust Difficulty cheat to lower your ACT rating so your opponents aren't so far ahead.
