I been using Kodi instead of WMC for almost a year getting it to see the movies is pretty straight forward each movie has its own folder, movies with a bonus disc would have two sub folders under the movies folder I use disc 1 and disc 2 under a folder with the movies name on it TV series this is a genuine pain to get to work to get this to at least of a small hope to get working the file structure is very important the MY movies app can be configure to drop your rips into different categories as shown below this is very important for Kodi because in the configuration of kodi each feature must point to its own directory \\MEDIASERVER\My Movies\TV Series Andromeda S1e1e2e3e4.ISO and a single Episode file like MP4 MKV should look like this -> Almost Human - S01E01 - Pilot.mp4 this is the Path for ISO file -> \\MEDIASERVER\My Movies\TV Series\Andromeda\Season 01\Disc 01\Andromeda S1e1e2e3e4.ISO I have found this to work the best so far not as pretty as WMC yet but close this is the path for Mp4 or MKV or whatever type -> \\MEDIASERVER\Videos\TV Series\Almost Human\Season 01\Almost Human - S01E01 - Pilot.mp4 no real need for sub folders for each episode you can put ISO and MP4 in the same main TV series directory I don't for better organization of my shows but each show does need it own folder or it will get really messy I would also welcome any discussion about integrating MyMovies, especially their backend applications and services to be used with a Kodi fronend. You are welcome to private message me if you want to discuss some of the tools that I have used.

My current environment is: Windows Server 2012 R2 for all media Infrant NAS Server Backup HDHomerun to stream over the air television on my network NextPVR as a server for television and client on my media devices 2 Media Computers running OpenElec (Kodi embedded) 1 RapsberryPi 2 mode B running OpenElec All three media computers share a MySql as a common database I have also integrated MCEBuddy and Playon into the network to remove advertisements, record off of the Internet and recode video for my mobile devices. I am still maintaining my MyMovies database and would like to integrate it with Kodi for the front end. That and I wanted to have greater control over my media center's graphic user interface.
Without a doubt, MyMovies is a terrific cohesive set of applications that are well thought out and integrated but I wanted to move on from Microsoft's Media Center given the fact that it is deprecated and shows it's age. But as a media center front end it is worth the effort and there are lots of tools available to organized your movies and tv shows properly.

Is there any sort of definitive information on how to do so for the following? I have the NFO files in each folder do I need to remove the original files that Media Center was using to display the picture arts etc…? What settings do I need to have on Kodi to display the synopsis etc… How do I get the Movies displayed Not In List Format (I have purchased 2500 points) How do I get my TV Series to pull across with synopsis? OR Is there something I am completely missing or should be doing differently? The Movies & TV Series are view-able so I seem to have linked to my Home Server okay. I’ve decided to migrate from Windows Media Center to Kodi for my collection but my head has fell off doing so.
